The 'Our SHANARRI School' Survey has been co-created with C&YP across Highland. The word clouds, benchmarks statements and format of the tool have all been written in partnership with our pupils to allow us to hear their voice and act upon what they are telling us.
We suggest you follow the process detailed when using the survey, and continue to involve C&YP, staff and families as you progress around the wheel. Your link Educational Psychologist or Primary Mental Health Worker will be able to support you as you take your next steps.
The survey is live and can be accessed by clicking the link above, when your whole school has completed it please contact Laura Husher to extract your data. Please only use it when you are ready, as it will be collecting all responses.
If you are from out-with Highland and are keen to access the survey please email Laura directly for a copy of the form.
We recommend that you use the Our SHANARRI School full survey, if you are looking to gather whole school data. Whilst the individual indicators are useful for early level or for checking improvement, we will not be able to provide you with the same full analysis across each age and stage. Click on the image below to access the Microsoft Form.
Click on the image above to access the link to the full Our SHANARRI School survey. This link requires pupils to complete the survey in one sitting and takes on average 15 minutes.
Click on each of the indicators to access the survey broken down by each of the wellbeing indicators. This is best used by our P1 - 3 cohort and allows you to break down completion of the survey over several days or weeks.
The Our SHANARRI School Survey now has a new data dashboard. After completing the survey please contact Laura Husher or Jo Chamberlain to let us know that you are ready to see your results.
Then Laura will work her magic behind the scenes to create your own school results spreadsheet which she will then add to your school SharePoint site.
Here is what you can expect to see:
Breakdowns by indicator, statements and by year group to help you look at areas your pupils have identified for improvement, and also to celebrate the areas that your pupils have rated as excellent. We hope that this will help you to make plans at a glance, to be able to share results more easily with your pupils, staff and parents/carers and that it will allow you to consider next steps in partnership with the 8 principles of a whole school approach to MH&WB. These can be found on the WSA page.
Please remember that your EP and PMHW are around to support you to think about changes you might want to make.
It might also be helpful to know that the average survey completion time is just 15 minutes!
